Biography

Dr. Smith has expertise in mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI interpretation as well as breast biopsies. Her specialized fellowship training in breast imaging makes her the one of the only radiologists on the MS Gulf Coast with this training.

Dr. Smith completed her undergraduate education at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA. She spent a year in health policy interning at the Alliance of Health Reform in Washington, DC before returning to Memphis to begin medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Following graduation, Dr. Smith went on to complete her radiology residency at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Her passion drove her to further develop her skills with a Breast Imaging Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Smith practices general radiology, interprets all modalities, and performs several image guided procedures.
